What I am going to talk about today is roulette fallacies and myths. Roulette has the most fallacies out of all of the casino games that you play, simply because of people’s attitudes when they play it.
The first myth that needs busting is that a roulette wheel has a memory. This isn’t the proper myth, what I mean is that by the way some people play, it is like they think the wheel has some sort of memory. When they do this, they will sit and wait until there are 3 reds in a row, then they bet on black, assuming that it is going to hit very soon.
This is a completely false mentality; red and black are always as likely to hit as each other regardless of previous spins. When you play a roulette game this is the first thing that you should keep in mind so that you avoid getting sucked in.
Another myth is when people say that online roulette is rigged somehow so you always lose the game. If you browse the roulette forums you will find tons of posts from people claiming that they lost money and it’s because the game was rigged.
This is complete nonsense, first of all these claims pop up simply because people like having someone to blame when they lose. They don’t want to have to blame themselves so they just blame that casino for being rigged.
While there are some rogue casinos in the dark corners of the Internet, the major brands such as Bet365 have no reason to cheat. Firstly, there is the house edge advantage that they will have for all of their games, this is something that over the long term will ensure that they come out on top.
Secondly they’re independently checked for fairness by third parties and their entire reputation and business would be ruined if they were found to be cheating. Taking a risk like this really doesn’t make sense when over the long term they will always be in profit.
